Let me share with you my favorite spots to visit, perfect even for a weekend getaway.
I arrived in Noto four years ago, and today it’s the place I call home. A small town where the sky is always blue, the weather is mild year-round, and in just ten minutes by car, you can reach stunning beaches.
ART
SERGIO FIORENTINO STUDIO
A magical, timeless place: home, studio, gallery, and meeting point for art lovers. Located in the heart of Noto’s historic center, the atelier of artist Sergio Fiorentino is open by appointment only. Write to info@sergiofiorentino.it
SPAZIO NOTO
A small art and design gallery curated by Paolo Perelli, in the heart of the historic center. A constantly evolving space, showcasing unique and evocative works and furnishings.
RACHELLE ANTIQUITIES
A paradise for lovers of antiques and unique jewelry. In addition to the shop, the luckiest clients get to visit her house-gallery, a place rich in charm and history.
GALLERIA SAMUELE MAZZA
Located in an ancient cistern in Noto Alta, with walls carved from solid rock, this gallery houses contemporary art and design pieces curated by Samuele Mazza.
PHOTOLOGY
A few kilometers from Noto, inside an 18th-century convent with no roof or restoration, lies this extraordinary gallery dedicated to photography and art. It’s also a space for events and gatherings.
SEA AND BEACHES
TONNARA DI VENDICARI
A metaphysical colonnade overlooking the blue sea. A short one-kilometer walk will take you to a breathtaking open-air “installation.” From here, you can explore trails for walking or biking and access pristine natural beaches. If you’re lucky, you might even spot flamingos that call the reserve home.
MARIANEDDI AND CITTADELLA DEI MACCARI
Wild, Mediterranean beauty. Perfect for those seeking untouched nature.
SAN LORENZO (IX Street)
At the edge of the reserve, you’ll find a Caribbean-like sea in shades of blue and turquoise. This was one of the first places I discovered and one of the reasons I decided to live here in Sicily.
LIDO SANTO MAR
My favorite lido: quiet and discreet. Perfect for a seaside lunch, with a charming bridge behind it that reminds me of a scene from one of my favorite films.
LIDO PURAVITA
A beach resort between Punta delle Formiche and Isola delle Correnti. Lounge, excellent lunches, music, and a small boutique for a quick wardrobe change on the beach.
LIDO LE DUNE
The ideal place for unforgettable sunsets, accompanied by music and Gin Tonics. It’s my friends’ favorite spot!
EAT
CAFFÈ COSTANZO
Right next to the Archivio Boutique, this is the best spot in town for granitas. Open all day, it’s perfect for breakfast or an aperitivo with friends.
CAFFÈ SICILIA
An institution in Noto: classic, timeless, and absolutely delicious. Ideal for breakfast, a mid-afternoon snack, or an aperitivo, it’s loved by Instagrammers and refined palates alike.
NORMA BISTROT
More than a restaurant, Norma is a gathering spot in the heart of Noto where you can enjoy excellent wines, aperitifs, and dinners, all accompanied by lively music.
DAMMUSO RISTORANTE
Traditional cuisine at its best. Giorgio Baglieri’s mother prepares authentic and irresistible dishes for her guests.
MANNA
My favorite restaurant. Delicious and beautifully presented dishes served in an ancient Sicilian baglio. Just five minutes from the historic center and close to the sea, Roberta and her team welcome you with impeccable hospitality.
IL BAGLIETTO
The perfect spot for a relaxing lunch under an olive tree. After your meal, take a charming walk to the Tonnara di Vendicari for a complete experience.
